The Craters

The Craters put a new album out recently and I think it holds it’s own pretty well. Teenage High School is invariably different than the last album, but in a more mellow way than expected. The last album was chocked full of energy and pop, where as this time around the songs sort of slouch back in their seats and hum. Don’t get me wrong the humming is great and there are some gems in there for sure, it’s just a rather abrupt change and it may take a minute to get used to. It’s the same way I feel about the new MGMT album, but in that case I have decided against such a move (and I don’t think I’ll ever care to review it). Point being, it’s a risky move but one that’s seems to have paid off okay this time.. although the more I listen to the album, the more the first song (and the one most like the last album) stand out as my favorite. I’m just sayin’ is all..

The Craters – Aggy
The Craters – Weekends or Not
The Craters – Art Waits
