I have been really bored by rock bands lately as you may have been able to tell from my never-ending hip hop post. I just need something different you know? Maybe just something to come out of left field and hit me over the head a little bit. I was having this same conversation with a friend lately when he paused for a minute, winked at me and then handed me this little piece of gold. Brooklyn spit out Javelin sometime last year and their album No Mas has been getting heavy play on some radio stations our there. Pretty awesome really, and the best part is that I can’t describe what it sounds like. Okay… maybe if I had to try, I might say a combination of 90′s band Quickspace, The Avalanches and the last Caribou album? But really who even cares. Just listen to it for a minute, go get the album and breathe in some fresh air. You’ll feel better.
