Cerebral Ballzy
I’ve been keeping an eye on Cerebral Ballzy for a minute now after first reading about them on Tod Seelie’s blog a while back (he’s currently touring with them and Black Lips). Without over-hyping them too much – let me just say that the energy these guys give off on stage has been so immense that this month sees the release of their full length on Williams Street and the band skipping over to the UK for shows. They play it fast and loose like good punk should sound and so far every who has seen them play live has said their beer, vomit and blood-soaked pits are a thing of beauty. The sheer chaos and explosiveness of these songs is enough to make me smile and remember to break something the next time I walk down the street.
